November 2007 -

Our Sussex Property Network launch event took place in November at Stanmer House in Brighton. The event proved to be an excellent opportunity for property professionals to make new local contacts and meet the team at P H Warr.

August 2007 – P H Warr plc appointed on Bournemouth Airport

P H Warr plc’s Bournemouth office has been appointed to provide Quantity Surveying and Health & Safety CDM Co-ordination services on the development of Bournemouth Airport.

The airport has unveiled far-reaching plans to enhance and extend its facilities and a formal planning application has now been approved by Christchurch Borough Council. The £32 million scheme centres on expanding and updating the existing terminal building, providing a new arrivals building, along with an additional 3,000 car park spaces and associated highways works.

It has been proposed to effectively double the size of terminal to improve conditions for the current usage of almost one million passengers a year and to cater for a predicted three-fold increase over the next decade.

The proposals also feature landscaping and works to upgrade the airport infrastructure including improvements and alterations to the runway apron to improve aircraft handling.

Philip Warr, Managing Director stated: “I’m delighted with our initial involvement in this thrilling project to provide Bournemouth with the airport facilities it deserves and especially because of the project being almost on the doorstep of where P H Warr was first established”.

July 2007 - Silverstone testing goes phwarr!

In the final lead up to the 2007 British Grand Prix, clients of P H Warr plc recently experienced the thrill of Formula 1 during the major British testing session that took place at Silverstone. Guests enjoyed the opportunity to explore this famous motor racing circuit including a visit to the pit lane. The event offered all-day action as the	Ferrari in action at Silverstone
various teams fine-tuned their cars in preparation for the forthcoming races.

Clients mingled with likeminded property professionals in a relaxed atmosphere and even had chance to get up close to the F1 teams in the paddock.

Ferrari’s Felipe Massa pushed Toyota off the top spot during the third and final day of testing that took place. Massa clocked a quickest lap of 1m20.805s around the British circuit, finishing over four-tenths faster than the second-placed Williams of Nico Rosberg.

Philip Warr, Managing Director explained his passion for Formula 1, “The property & construction sector can learn a lot from the motor sport industry of constantly striving for improvement, refinement and excellence”.

April 2007 - P H Warr plc 15th Anniversary Reception

P H Warr plc celebrated their 15th Anniversary with a reception at the new Captain’s Club Hotel in Christchurch. Clients and close colleagues toasted P H Warr plc’s success at the event which reflected the company’s heritage, being originally founded and still having one of its six offices in Christchurch. The venue was particularly significant as
P H Warr plc provided project and cost management services for the construction and fit-out of this luxurious designer hotel.

 The company has continued to grow every year since being established in 1992, with offices covering London and Southern England. P H Warr plc’s Managing Director, Philip Warr, said "We have come a long way in 15 years and have been instrumental in the way that surveying services are now delivered. I look forward to seeing the company continue to provide bespoke property & construction surveying solutions for our clients in the coming years".

January 2007 - Key Promotions for P H Warr plc

P H Warr plc commences 2007 with the following promotions: David joined the firm as a graduate in 1994 and became a Director of the plc in 2001. His new promotion to Deputy Managing Director includes responsibility for managing the new Southampton office. Paula’s promotion to Financial Director comes in addition to her role as Company Secretary and follows her work in establishing and refining the company’s Corporate Office. The company also recently congratulated new Managing Surveyor Simon Smith on gaining professional qualification as a Chartered Surveyor. Simon joined in 1997 and has a tremendous depth of experience in providing cost management advice to a wide range of residential and commercial clients.

David commented "In order to differentiate ourselves in the marketplace and give our clients the highest level of customer service, we have to recruit and retain the very best people in the industry".
